Working at SERI: Mirushe Zejneli-Reçi
Gain insight into the work of SERI: Mirushe Zejneli-Reçi is a Project Manger in the International Education Programmes Unit.
What do you do exactly?
Our unit is responsible preparing the strategic, financial and legal basis required for implementation and further elaboration of federal funding policy on international exchange and mobility in education. One of our core tasks is the supervision and institutional development of Movetia, the national agency for exchange and mobility. Right now, I am working on a project to develop an impact model for use in the development and implementation of exchange and mobility programmes.
What do you like about your work in particular?
I also feel a strong personal commitment towards exchange and mobility across national borders. Being involved in something that I can identify with is a great source of motivation. I also enjoy the mix of strategic and operational activities - this brings variety and allows me to see things from different perspectives. Last but not least, I highly value the close dialogue within the team.
What challenges do you expect in the near future?
Major decisions will be reached in the second half of the year, both on the proposal for Movetia's new legal form and on negotiations for Switzerland's association with the Erasmus+ programme. For our unit, this means preparing and consolidating the relevant information needed for decision-making, ensuring that the various perspectives and interests of all parties involved are taken into account. At the same time, we need to consider a range of different scenarios and be ready to handle any uncertainties with regard to the dossiers.
