Working at SERI: Michel Droz

What do you do exactly?

I am a project management specialist within the finance group of the international organisations and programmes unit. I handle international research and innovation projects. My main activities include checking the financial reports submitted by our partners, keeping track of payments and reconciling accounts. I also help to draft legal documents and procedures and communicate with stakeholders.

What do you like about your work in particular?

I particularly like the excellent working atmosphere. My colleagues are friendly and committed, and management is respectful and open to dialogue. A proactive and innovative mindset is encouraged, which makes the work both stimulating and rewarding.

What challenges do you expect in the near future?

Upcoming challenges include the need to adapt to the legal and financial requirements of EU programmes, optimise financial control processes and maintain smooth collaboration with our partners in a constantly changing context.
