The Digital Europe Programme (DEP) is now open to Swiss stakeholders for the first time. This gives them the opportunity to play an active part in shaping Europe's digital future.
Since 2022, a group of countries, including Switzerland, have been meeting twice a year as part of a ‘Multilateral Dialogue on Quantum’. The aim is to identify the needs of research and innovation stakeholders in the field of quantum information science and technology (QIST) and to reach consensus on guiding principles and values. The last meeting took place in Brisbane (Australia) in March 2025.
The ESA will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. Looking back on countless milestones, it is now preparing itself for a challenging future. The ESA has positioned Europe as a global leader in the space sector. A founding member, Switzerland has been both a contributor and beneficiary in this development.
Switzerland is known for its fundamental research, innovativeness and commitment to international cooperation. However, with EU programmes such as Horizon Europe, the EU's largest research and innovation programme, Switzerland has reached a turning point. The Federal Council has now approved the previously initialled EU Programmes Agreement (EUPA), which is good news for Switzerland’s education, research and innovation sector as well as for the EU!
Space activities occupy an important place in our society. Switzerland has been actively involved in this field since the early days. It is a competitive and reliable partner in the space sector.
