Working at SERI: Luca Aebischer
Gain insight into the work being done at SERI: Luca Aebischer works as head of the Gever and Logistics Team within the Digital Transformation, IT and Logistics (DIL) Section.
What do you do exactly?
I lead the Gever and Logistics Team within DIL. We are responsible for electronic records and process management (GEVER), for the reception desk, logistics and many other areas. These include, among other things, IT technical support in collabo-ration with the IT unit, occupational safety and health and building security. As team leader, I feel that it is important to maintain an overview, support my team and work together to find effective solutions to the wide range of tasks and challenges that we face.
What do you like about your work in particular?
What I particularly enjoy is the variety of my work. I value the contact with colleagues across the organisation and the opportunity to combine organisational, technical and human aspects. I also appreciate the fact that no two days are ever alike and you never really know what challenges to expect. I am motivated by finding solutions together, supporting colleagues and fostering a positive working environment. I am convinced that a good working environment is a key motivating factor and that we achieve more when we help one another and enjoy working together.
What challenges do you expect in the near future?
I would like to further strengthen collaboration with other sections and continue to develop in my new leadership role. At the same time, there are two important projects on the horizon: ‘Clearspace’ and ‘BAR2028'. The aim of Clearspace is to optimise processes within our classification system and link StrucTool directly to Acta Nova so that data files can be transferred via an interface in the future. With BAR2028, the focus is on completing the transfer of paper records to the Swiss Federal Archives (SFA). Both projects require effective coordination and close collaboration. What matters to me is advancing these two projects together with my team while continuously stream-lining our processes.
